1. Purpose

This policy establishes comprehensive guidelines for the acceptance, management, and acknowledgment of contributions, donations, and grants to Learn and Work Academy. It ensures alignment with global educational standards and ethical fundraising practices, promoting transparency and accountability in all fundraising activities.

2. General Policy

Learn and Work Academy accepts contributions, donations, and grants at its discretion, provided they align with the institution’s mission, objectives, and values. The Academy reserves the right to decline any donation that:

• Does not align with its mission or strategic priorities,
• Imposes undue restrictions,
• May result in financial, operational, or reputational risks.

The Academy is committed to upholding ethical, transparent, and legally compliant fundraising principles. All contributions are accepted with the understanding that they will be used in a manner that supports the Academy’s core values and goals.

3. Types of Donations and Conditions

3.1 Cash and Securities

The Academy accepts monetary donations in the form of cash, bank transfers, or publicly traded securities. All transactions must comply with anti-money laundering and international financial regulations.

3.2 In-Kind Contributions

In-kind donations, including goods and services, may be accepted if they align with the Academy’s needs and educational goals. The Academy retains the right to decline any in-kind contribution that is not suitable or would result in significant maintenance costs.

3.3 Real and Personal Property

Donations of real estate, personal property, or non-liquid securities require prior assessment to ensure their alignment with the Academy’s objectives. The Academy reserves the right to sell, lease, or repurpose donated property based on institutional needs.

3.4 Restricted Donations

Donations with specific restrictions must align with the Academy’s strategic priorities and undergo evaluation before acceptance. Restricted funds must comply with ethical funding principles. The Academy cannot guarantee adherence to these restrictions indefinitely, particularly if they conflict with future institutional needs.

3.5 Anonymous Donations

The Academy respects donor privacy and allows anonymous donations. However, all anonymous donations must comply with transparency and anti-money laundering regulations. Any suspicious or non-compliant donation will be reviewed and reported in accordance with applicable laws.

4. Donor Advisory and Compliance

Learn and Work Academy does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice regarding donations.

• Donors are encouraged to consult their professional advisors before making contributions.
• The Academy will ensure full compliance with international anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and ethical fundraising guidelines.
• In addition, the Academy will engage in periodic audits to ensure that the donation process adheres to the highest standards of integrity and accountability. 

5. Donation Management and Acknowledgment

• Donors will receive a written acknowledgment in compliance with applicable tax laws and international best practices.
• The Academy will not assign a monetary value to in-kind donations, except for cash or publicly traded securities.
• If a donation is declined, the Academy may return the funds to the donor or reallocate them to other mission-aligned initiatives, as deemed appropriate by the institution.
• The Academy will provide a detailed report to donors on how their contributions have been used, ensuring transparency in the allocation of funds. 

6. Ethical Fundraising and Compensation

Learn and Work Academy adheres to global ethical standards for fundraising.

• The Academy does not offer commissions, finder’s fees, or other financial incentives to third parties in exchange for securing donations.
• All fundraising activities will follow international transparency standards, ensuring that donors’ rights are respected and their funds are managed with integrity. 

7. Use of Donations

Donations will directly support the Academy’s mission, including scholarships, educational resources, faculty development, and outreach programs.

• Funds will be allocated based on strategic priorities, including but not limited to:
  • Tuition and registration fees for students in need
  • Purchase of educational materials such as laptops and internet access
  • Academic support, including consultant services, thesis assistance, and learning platforms
  • Accreditation and institutional development expenses, including compliance with international standards
  • Ongoing program development to meet emerging educational needs.
• The Academy will ensure that all donations are used effectively and in a manner that aligns with donor intentions and institutional needs. 

8. Policy Review and Amendments

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure compliance with evolving regulations, institutional priorities, and best practices.

• Any amendments to the policy will be made in response to changes in relevant laws, regulations, or institutional goals.
• The Academy reserves the right to update or amend this policy at its discretion, ensuring continued alignment with the highest standards of legal and ethical conduct.
